craciun fericit

Where to start lol I think last time I wrote I was still in quarantine recovering from what was maybe covid ðŸ˜·

Well... to update yalll we are out of quarantine and have been back to work as normal.

We had a baptism on saturday!!!! The whole week we had been preparing for the baptism, printing programs, cleaning the church, etc, but saturday it finally happened! Gabi was baptized! Let me tell you it was a miracle that she was baptized! Yay yay! It was such a good day. She was so so happy and you could just see the light in her face. I also gave a talk on the Holy Ghost at the baptism in Romanian. It was my first full talk in Romanian and not going to lie, it was pretty terrifying, but it ended up being ok:)

On monday we had dinner at the Larson's house (the cool FBI american family). They are seriously the coolest and made us and the elders mexican food, and gave us some cute christmas gifts. They also sang me happy birthday and it was an all-around good time.

Tuesday we went with our branch president to the store and bought a bunch of food to make Christmas gift care packages for the members. We then spent the whole morning driving around the city dropping them off and meeting with the members:) lots of the apartments we went to were of members that I haven't even met yet since lots of them haven't been able to make it to church for awhile with the pandemic. We have the best ward, I'm convinced. Oh and I also turned 20.

Yesterday we went to a member's house in the afternoon. She is from Puerto Rico, but is married to a Romanian who is not a member. They were seriously the sweetest and she baked us flan and offered to give us tamales when she makes them again. I love tamales so I was pretty psyched. We also stopped by Marilena and Vlad's house last night to give them a little christmas gift. They started caroling to us and it was so so sweet. They are seriously my fav. To end the night, sora gunn and I went to the one taco bell they have here in the mall food court and had a yummy christmas eve dinner of some tacos.

Today we went to watch one of our friends Dany perform at a concert at an orthodox church. It was really cool to see how people here traditionally celebrate Christmas.

I hope everyone has an amazing day filled with family, love, and CHRIST. He is the greatest gift any of us have ever been given. One of my fav scriptures is
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
We can always find peace in Christ.

new comp + quarantine

Yay for a suuper long but good week:)

Tuesday was Romanian Independence Day! While most celebrations were cancelled with covid it was still a good time.

Wednesday the whole mission got together in Bucuresti to meet with president and his wife! There were 11 missionaries leaving this week so President and his wife came to Romania to say goodbye to all of them.

Thursday, said goodbye to Sora Bauco and I am now with Sora Gunn! She was already living in another part of bucuresti so all day we basically just moved all her stuff over from her old apartment to the one I was living in. Let me tell you trying to move things around in a big city without a car is kinda a struggle, but we managed.

Yesterday we found out that we have to be in quarantine again until the 16th! One of the missionaries tested positive right after we had all been together with president and his wife, so all the missionaries in romania are now in quarantine! Luckily we were able to run to the store one last time and buy supplies for the next almost 2 weeks. We are all stocked up now which is good haha

Our girl Gabi is still doing amazing and on track to be baptized the 19th! We meet with her about every night and I seriously love her so so much, she's awesome.

This week has taken alot of faith!!! Lots of faith that things will work out. Faith that what I am doing is actually making a difference. Faith in Christ. We just have to keep moving forward with faith even when we might not understand things<3

happpyyy thanksgiving friends

Hope everyone had a good Turkey day with family and friends. There is lots to be thankful for:))

although they don't celebrate thanksgiving here in Romania, we made apple pie and ate mashed potatoes and for that I am thankful.

This week was way good.

Our friend Mila reached out to us out of the blue saying she watched President Nelson's video. We set up a lesson with her and she told us that she had seen his video and was interested to start taking lessons with us again. She also said she had read the Book of Mormon and said it was true and she practically asked us to be baptized!
We were kinda shook and it was a major miracle.

Sora Bauco is leaving on Wednesday and my new companion will be Sora Gunn! We were in the HMTC together and I am excited to be her comp!
We will be the only 2 sisters in Miahi bravu Buchurest right now since Sora Bauco and one of the other sisters are also leaving.

We were trying to bring flowers and cookies to our branch president the other day because he was has corona and we thought it would be nice. Usually sora Bauco takes charge of google maps, but I figured it was time for me to try since I'm gonna have to learn eventually. He lives kinda outside the city and after we took the metro to the last stop we had to walk about 30 mins to get what we thought was his apartment... let's just say that I may have directed us to the completely wrong place wayyyy out of the way and in the middle of nowhere. We then talked to this really nice lady on the street who kindly gave us directions, which we naively followed for about another 45 mins, to another wrong address. Long story short we dropped off the goods and I decided that I'm not the best with directions.

The other sisters in Bucharest had a baptism this week which we all got to go to which was fun. Bibi, the guy getting baptized, showed up to the church with a bunch of gifts for all the missionaries and he gave sora bauco and I some purses haha.

It snowed a lot!

I'm so excited for December and the Light the World campaign to start!! Let's focus on Christ this Christmas season and remember him.
After all He is the light of the World!!

Love you all.

happyyy:)

helloo!! hope everyone had a good week:)

This week was so good! Just feeling really grateful and happy this week.

We had zone conference this week which was way fun. Sora Bauco and I performed a musical number that which went pretty well. I always feel so ready to get to work after zone conference haha it's kind of fun for me to look at things that are working or not working and then try to figure out how we can do things better! Yay for improvement.

We also had some amazing miracles this week. Our friend Gabi texted us out of the blue the other and asked when she could get baptized!?! Crazy I know. We were able to establish a date with her and I am seriously so excited for her.

Two of our other friends, Alexandra and Mila, were able to watch president Nelson's message and said they were so touched by it and felt so good while watching it.
We were able to testify about the power of the Holy Ghost and President Nelson as a living prophet on the earth today.

Speaking of President Nelson's special message... can we talk about seriously how good it was??!!?! If you haven't watched it yet, PLEASE DO. Oh man am I thankful for a Prophet that leads and guides us today. With the time difference we watched it at the end of a long day and it was seriously just what I needed to hear! Gratitude is the cure for anything. We can't be grateful and not be happy!!!

I have so much to be grateful for! I would start telling you all the things, but then this email would be never ending...

What are your grateful for??
